Locating our Lab
The SoCal Lab is located on UC San Diego's main campus on the third floor of McGill Hall Room 3315.
Using Navigation
Once you have arrived to Scholars Drive Parking Lot, enter from the South end of the parking garage from Muir Lane and you will find yourself on the first floor, B1. Immediately turn right, and our lab's reserved spots will be immediately to your left. They are labeled #946 and #947 (pictured below). At your arrival, a researcher will meet you to give you a parking permit to display on your dashboard.
Navigation apps have not updated to show our parking structure, however, follow the directions below to find us!:
Google Maps: Search for "UCSD Craft Center" (9605 Scholars Dr. North) and follow the driving directions there. Once you have arrived, you will almost be at the parking garage: The parking garage itself may be hard to spot since it is unmarked, however, when you are driving down Muir Lane, it will be the entrance directly after the building with the orange facade. Follow the instructions above to park in one of our two reserved spaces.
Apple Maps: Type in "9605 N Scholars Dr" and follow the driving directions there. Directions
From I-5 North:
Take Exit 28B for La Jolla Village Drive. Turn left at La Jolla Village Drive. You will pass the main entrance to campus. The road will bend to the north and become N. Torrey Pines Rd. Continue on N. Torrey Pines Rd. until you come to a light at La Jolla Shores Drive. Turn right onto La Jolla Shores Drive then make an immediate left onto Scholars Drive South. Scholars Drive South will turn right and become Muir Lane after a quarter mile. Continue for 0.2 miles before turning right into the parking lot just before the road dead ends. Enter Scholars Parking Garage on the 1st floor (B1) from the south end of garage from Muir Lane.
From I-5 South:
Take Exit 29 for Genesee Avenue. Turn right off of the exit and continue up Genesee Avenue to the top of the hill. Once at the top, turn left onto North Torrey Pines Road. Next make a left onto La Jolla Shores Drive (~ 1 mile), and then make an immediate left onto Scholars Drive South. Scholars Drive South will turn right and become Muir Lane after a quarter mile. Continue for 0.2 miles before turning right into the parking lot just before the road dead ends. Enter Scholars Parking Garage on the 1st floor (B1) from the south end of garage from Muir Lane.
